Trainline Business is Trainline’s B2B offering direct to companies of any size. It allows companies to manage and control their businesses travel through a self-serve tool as well as offering their employees a simple and easy to use website and app to book tickets.   

With over 12,000 companies using a Trainline Business Account across UK and Europe, we are focused on not only enticing new customers to use our product but providing them with lots of reasons to come back and back again. We’ve grown organically over the years in the SMB space but now we’re looking to double down to drive meaningful growth through marketing. It’s with this in mind that we have a new opportunity for a Senior B2B Marketing Manager to join our team as we scale and expand into new markets as well as grow our existing customer base.   

As a Senior Marketing Manager, you will be instrumental in driving full funnel revenue-generating growth and retention initiatives. You will work within all our core markets (UK, FR, IT and ES) to grow Trainline’s business travel sales.   

 

Responsibilities 

Campaign management – own all marketing programs that generate demand and drive acquisition, working closely with our external marketing agency who manage our ABM and paid media strategy. Collaborate cross functionally to ensure our Marketing plans are highly relevant, targeted and optimised at every stage of the funnel. 

Email marketing – execute CRM programs and optimise our CRM lifecycle encompassing onboarding, engagement, and retention initiatives to drive conversion and uplift.  

Content marketing – create thought leadership, blogs, white papers, webinars and videos as well as proactively optimising the Trainline Business website.  

Sales support – create collateral and content to help the Customer Success team convert more prospects and the customer success team meet growth targets. 

Reporting & Budget management – manage and report on the marketing budget, ensuring activity is effective. Influence measurement best practices to shape our understanding of LTV and ROI. 


Preferred experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience in B2B Marketing, ideally in SaaS and with SMB experience.  

  • Experience managing external marketing agencies is essential.  

  • Extensive experience in generating high value customers and improving retention and product/feature adoption.  

  • Bias towards CRM and content marketing 

  • Knowledge of Braze CRM and Umbraco CMS desirable 

  • Highly collaborative, and able to work with Product, Customer Success, Finance, Data Science, Engineering and Leadership to successfully deliver complex projects on time 

  • Proven track record of exceeding acquisition, upsell and retention marketing OKRs 

  • Able to work autonomously and make sound commercial decisions and recommendations.  

  • Results-focused and constantly share impact and learnings 

  • Ability to problem solve, adapt, and grow quickly as we build the marketing organisation 

  • Excellent organisation, project management and time management skills  

  • Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills  

  • Fluent in either French, Italian or Spanish language desirable
